A letter to God, the First poem he gave me permission to write and share
Hey God, do you hear me talking to you?
Yeah, I’m angry but I’m still speaking to you
You said you would never leave me, but I’m feeling pretty alone
Excuse me, God, do you even hear me speaking to you?
You told me to cast all my worries unto you- but I still don’t see you
Yo God, man do you even hear me speaking to you?
You call me your child but I don’t feel much love
Folks talking about your Heavenly Father from above
See man this is why I don’t even like speaking to you.
I feel like my prayers never even get through to you.
I really feel like my existence is some kind of joke to you
Man, I said God..!
God's voice
Yeah, I hear you, I’ve been here the whole time.
The problem is you want things in your time and not mine.
See, from before the earth was formed you had a mission, you just have to wait in my time for this plan to come to flourish
You say I’m not listening but look at all I have done for you.
I mean, really, think of what I brought you through.
You remember that song that got you through
How much that song ministered to you?
Times that’s I get through to you
I love you so much I died for you, that’s how far my love extends for you.
But, you curse my name take me in vein then say prayers calling my name
It’s the faith in my works that things will be revealed to you
But that’s okay for I’m not through
For I have more patience than you do
The day you call my name like you were taught to do, that’s when an Angel will put you through
Because I placed you here for I have work for you to do
So yeah, I hear you but you gotta listen
For you have yet to receive your greatest mission.
