Highlighted Resources of the Month:

Ken Ham gets straight to it in Divided Nation. He discusses how instead of just throwing out religion they tossed Christianty as well and replaced it with other religions and idolatry.  Ken Ham gives us food for thought on how this change will/has effect our own christian households and childern eduation.

This podcast is such a word. The creator calls it, "The podcast where Christ & Culture Connects." The drops are normally daily, this is a great podcast for seasoned believers and baby believers. She always does a great job explaining the scripture and putting the word into perspective

Women of the Word is a devotional book for Men and Women despite the title. We all know it’s important to study God’s word. But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. This  fresh edition of her bestseller walks us through understanding the Word of God better.

Tips when reading:

- Find a good place for you to sit and study, this should be a clean, quiet, and comfortable place. You want to make this prayer time and place your “Special time with God.”

- When reading you want to be prepared to journal and even highlight passages. *It can be good to annotate specific readings as well.*

- You can also use the Bible along with any devotional books or readings. *it’s highly recommended.*

- You always want to start your time with God in prayer, even if it is a short prayer.

****Prayer example: "Lord please open me up to Your Word and allow Your Word to open up to me that I may receive a blessing from its reading."

This is just to thank God in advance for the download you are preparing to receive and even ask Him to make the seed for this reading clear to you.

- You want to find a version or translation that works for you either it’s the traditional King James or the (ESV) English Version Translation, there are so many out there.

- In the beginning, have a plan for your study time. Find a specific book you want to read and break that down into a plan that is suitable for you. Find subjects that you want to know more about.

- DO NOT try to read the whole passage and just move on. Take your time, re-read, stop to think, and even pray over it. The Bible is intentional in its structure and how it was written. When words repeat or they take the time to tell us more about something ask the question, “Why?” “What could this mean?” “What is the writer trying to tell us?”

- You want to take notes. Write down whatever is on your heart as you read even if it is something you may feel is unrelated. Write down your question and come back to them with the answer.

-End your reading time in prayer. This is just to thank God for Him revealing His Word to you, that can even be the prayer "Thank you God for this time with you. Thank you for the download of your word. Amen"
